Hanover Park High School Recruiting

This past school year a few people went to Hanover Park High School to try and recruit some students.  While we handed out a lot of applications not many people have joined the squad.  Later in the fall we hope to go to Hanover Park and try to do some more recruiting.  While we do this recruiting we also encourage students ages 16 and above to feel free to ask for an application or download the application off the volunteer section of the website.  No training is required of you to join and will be provided as you are accepted onto the squad.

One of the reasons many people say they are scared to join the squad is mainly because they are afraid of blood.  After many people join the squad they realize that there isn't much blood and the blood they do see does not have any impact on them at all. As an incentive to get more young people to join the squad Hanover Park offers a student who actively volunteers 5 credits per year that they volunteer.  It may not be a lot but it does add up and you also get the great feeling of saving peoples lives at the same time as you earn your credits. Please feel free to contact the squad for further details.

Fairleigh Dickinson University and Saint Elizabeth's College

College can be a very long and stressful 4 years for most students a good way to release some of that can be joining the first aid squad.  Many students come to school and are already certified EMT's they do not realize they can join the first aid squad and help make a difference in Florham Park as well.  We are actively looking for college students to join our squad whether you are a certified EMT already or if you are not we will gladly supply you with all the training we require. Being on the squad you may get the chance to help you fellow school members or even your friends.  It is a great learning experience and may make you choose the medical field as a profession as several people who have joined the squad have gotten into the medical field
